Retro Controlled Bubble Vases

Hi all
I love coloured glass, for a recent birthday I was given a emerald coloured bud vase which I loved ....however it looked lonely on its own ......so  after many eBay auctions as well going to second hand shops .....well I have a collection!

Owl cushion (Orlando)

My first commissioned  Owl ! Orlando Owl made with love for my lovely friend Mara who is the most wonderful artist.
Orlando was made with 8 ply acrylic yarn with a 4.5 crochet hook, his pom pom ears were made with a fork.....yes another Utube tutorial :) he has teal velvet ribbon threaded through his body and bright orange chain stitches crocheted in circles to highlight the colour rounds. My friend Anette saved the day with her sewing machine, and sewed the calico insert, not my strong point.
Orlando took a week and a bit of after work meditative crocheting.....his new freind is waiting to be created.....I now have orders backing up ....lots of color combinations to try....what fun!

Moving on to bigger owls

Hi All
After making some little owls from Utube tutorials I got the confidence to buy a pattern for owl cushions from Etsy.....it was a bit scary at first trying to work it out never having read a pattern before, but the lady who sold it at Aterg crochet could be contacted for help so I went for it!
I'm glad I did as here are my first efforts !
